On 7-27-2013 Hannah Hall won the battle of the bands contest hosted at The Door in Dallas, Texas. This was the latest in series of successful appearances she has made throughout 2013. Whether performing in a coffee house for friends, family, and admiring fans or wowing the judges at the Gospel Music Association reVIEW you competition in Nashville, Hannah never fails to deliver. Her artistry is honed by innumerable hours spent in the studio, taking advantage of every opportunity to perform (including countless shows for church, ministry, and benefits), with continued studies in all areas of music including voice, piano, and music theory.
Hannah’s strong work ethic is exceeded only by the strength of her character and the size of her heart. She inspires and engenders respect and admiration in all those lucky enough to know her. An immense talent as a performing artist, an excellent songwriter, an accomplished guitarist, a wonderful voice; all describe a young woman who is achieving her dreams and inspiring those around her to achieve theirs.
In January of 2007 a ten year old girl began studying guitar with me. Before the end of her first year of lessons she was working on classical guitar, playing advanced pieces on the electric guitar like “Sweet Child of Mine” and most importantly, beginning work in songwriting, theory, and composition that would remain the primary focus of her studies. For several years I had the pleasure of mentoring a most amazing talent and becoming friends with Hannah and her wonderful family. From the first I took her seriously and watched her do the same. The results have been spectacular but not surprising. She doesn’t just dream big, she works hard and gives her dreams legs.
Hannah, I love your music, I respect your abilities on guitar, and I enjoy your shows; but most importantly I admire and respect you. You can get no higher compliment from me.
